lying in an interview
I've had a few job interviews this week, and one thing I've realised is how important it is to NOT lie in an interview.
Obviously you shouldn't lie at all in life. But if you lie in your interviews, you're literally shooting yourself in the foot with a bazooka. There is no winning scenario. You lose either way.
If you lie and don't get the job, your self-respect will tank, and you'll lose trust in yourself. This usually looks like someone who has low confidence, and who cannot sit alone with themselves.
And if you do get the job, then you'll go into work every day wondering when your colleagues and boss are going to find out that you're not the person you said you were in the interview.
Even if it seems like an inconsequential thing like saying you like running when you actually like don't, that can really fuck with your head.
It can definitely be tempting to lie to get a job, but for the sake of your inner peace and conscience, please tell the truth, or at least don't lie.
