My morning dump

For the past few weeks, I've woken up every morning with a kind of low level static background chatter in my head. I think this is called anxiety or something.

I hate this feeling. It's like living in a noisy household, but instead of the people in your house being noisy and talking too loud, the noise is coming from inside my own head.

So I've been testing doing a brain 'dump' every morning - I write in my notebook everything that is on my mind. It could be things I need to do at some point, or decisions I regret, or ideas I have, or things that are stressing me out.

And I find that by writing these things down, the noise slowly fades. It doesn't go away completely though, more like turning down the volume button.

If I want to get rid of the noise completely, I'll need to rectify every single thing on that list. It doesn't take me long, say 1-2 hours, but it gives me total peace. And who doesn't like peace?
