the best morning routine

I've been tweaking my morning routine since I was about 14 years old (I used to be a huge self-improvement nerd). And through those years, I've realised that in order to have a good morning routine, you actually need to start with a good night routine first.

Mornings are already hard for me. I have to wrestle with myself to get out of bed (it's just so warm and comfy), and for some reason my brain spends the first 60 minutes of my day working at 12% capacity. So anything that I can do to make my mornings less miserable is a huge plus.

Things like: making my breakfast the night before, throwing the garbage, tidying the living room, and leaving no dirty dishes in the sink really helps me to start the day off right.

But if I don't do those things... boy am I in for a treat. I'll probably spend the next 3 hours of my morning trying to do the things I should've done the night before, because again, my brain is working at 12% capacity. Oh and I'll probably doomscroll random crap while I do it too.

And with how things are going in the world is these days, I wanna have at least some semblance that I have my life under control.
